Socio-economic Impact on Displaced Women in Jammu Region: A Sociological View

The present article is based on empirical work carried out in the state of Jammu and Kashmir, where women were displaced by dam projects. main objective study to examine socio-economic conditions after being forcibly from their ancestral home land. Dam projects are symbol economic growth a nation, but unfortunately, millions people India. What happened condition? Are they properly resettled? Such questions always unanswered. respective government gives only monetary compensation whole family. It has been observed that displaced, face lot problems such as poverty, unemployment, homeless, jobless, dowry issues, domestic violence health issues.
